Research

The department research activities are focused on solving tasks belonging mainly to the state defence economics and armed forces economics areas. It reacts on current and prospective economic problems of increasing efficiency at the state economics level, mainly at the level of state entities as the part of the public sector. Within the department’s activities there is carried out the research of the possible economic theory application in the economic provision of the defence area and creating efficient source allocation conditions in the military. The research is also conducted in the field of the market, demand and supply theory as firm and customer behaviour determination factors in the defence department, the relation between the defence industrial base and economic policy, the weapon trade theory, the study of new procedures, methods, tools and techniques in the economic process management and armed forces activities areas which increase the economic transparency and managerial personal responsibility. It uses theoretical and practical knowledge from specific areas of the company economics (managerial accounting, marketing, reporting, finance, analysis, etc.), but also branch economics (industry, transport, services etc.), which are put into contrast with current practice in armed forces and state starting points to find the ways of their positive sides exploitation in the military, in the Army of the Czech Republic.

While solving research and development projects the department cooperates mainly with military universities in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
