Our department is a guarantor as well as implementation body of the backbone topics of Military History, History and Traditions of Armed Forces, War Studies I. and War Studies II. and Selected Chapters of the World and Czech History. These topics are taught in the framework of the study block of modern military art, at the Faculty of Military Leadership and the Faculty of Military Technologies. By implementation of teaching these topics and by other activities our department contributes to forming the historical knowledge and acquiring the necessary theoretical basis and practical skills needed to understand the issue of military art in its broader relationship. Teaching implemented by our department provides the students with the fundamentals for its further utilization in daily praxis of commanders and their staffs at basic levels.

Our department participates in teaching in non-accredited study programs: General– and Senior Officer’s Courses as well as other advanced professional courses organized by the University of Defence for the MoD.​
