Teaching

Pedagogical Orientation:

The department provides education in full-time and part-time bachelor’s and master’s study programmes Economics and Management, in the study branch State Defence Economics, in Logistics, Military Transport Economics and Logistic Services study modules. At the same time the department guarantees these modules. At the postgraduate level of the university study it contributes to teaching special subjects in the accredited branch State Defence Economics of the Economics and Management doctoral study programme.

Courses taught at the Department of Logistics

Management of state property​The course is focused on getting acquainted with the principles and activities in the management of tangible and intangible assets in the use of the Ministry of Defense.
Logistic security of combat activities​The course is focused on the organization, planning and management of logistics security units in the operation with a focus on the level of the battalion.
Logistic security of operations​The course is focused on the organization, planning and management of traffic security units in the operation with a focus on the level of the battalion.
Transport security of operations​The course is focused on the organization, planning and management of transport security units in the operation with a focus on the level of the battalion.
Management of military equipment and materials operation services​The course is focused on the principles of management of military equipment and materials operation, especially on maintenance, repairs, metrology and peacekeeping and operations. An important part is the management of comfortable materials, their accounting and risk management in the field of fuel.
Organization and management of logistics​The course is focused on getting acquainted with the organizational structure of ACR logistics, especially with logistics at the battalion level.
​Security of personnel and infrastructure​The course is focused on the issue of security of ACR personnel in the area of ​​food security, provision of materials for personal use and accommodation services at the department.
Management of commodity knowledge​The course is focused on clarifying the basic concepts in the field of management of commodity knowledge, monitoring the monitored properties and parameters of the material, using modern methods of their evaluation.
Contemporary Logistics​The aim of the course is to improve students‘ ability to actively use basic logistics terminology in English. This terminology includes concepts from the areas of purchasing logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, logistics technology, and business logistics. The course is taught in English and is intended for Czech students and Erasmus students. The acquired knowledge should improve the position of students in the international labor market.
Information support of logistics​The course is intended for students of the Erasmus program. The aim is to acquaint students with the possibilities of using modern technologies in logistics and to teach them to use selected applications effectively.
Military transport​The course is focused on the planning, organization and implementation of military movements and transports within the Czech Republic and beyond.
