The department’s research activities especially concentrate on solving tasks included in the defence research area and the research project of the Faculty of Economics and Management. It responds to development trends and presents them to the practical implementation. Within the department’s activities the provisions support area development is realized, the same as the logistic services provision research and the research of environmental security in operations. The department takes part in solving transport supplying processes with the focus on the efficiency and purposefulness of the source usage. It verifies new knowledge and assesses experience from practical carrying out of the logistic support with the emphases on coordination, synergy and optimization of activities. It takes part in determining standards, norms and conceptions of chosen logistic support areas. With regards to the systematic approach it discovers critical points in the logistic support and presents proposal measures to their elimination. While solving research and development projects the department mainly cooperates with appropriate Ministry of Defence entities and foreign universities with the similar specialization.
