CAPT Ing. Jana Švecová, Ph.D.

 

Curriculum vitae

Born on 29 April 1975 in Vyškov. After graduating from the secondary vocational school of clothing in Prostějov, she graduated from the Technical University in Liberec, Faculty of Textile Engineering. In 2019 she received the academic degree of ,,doctor“ in Military Logistics at the Faculty of Military Leadership of the University of Defence. At the base of unrepaired material in Brno, now the Material Security Centre of the Military Services, she passed through the positions of, Chief of the Logistics Information Service Unit and Commander of the Clothing Storage Unit of the MU 2.1 Storage Group. From 2014 to 2018, she held the positions of Senior Staff Officer of the Planning and Organizational Department of the Rector’s Office and Officer of the Planning and Organizational Department of the Rector’s Office of the University of Defence. Since 2019, she has been with the Department of Logistics, Faculty of Military Leadership, where she has held the positions of Logistics Support Group Assistant and Senior Logistics Support Group Assistant.

Within the framework of his pedagogical and scientific activities he is mainly engaged in the issues of equipment security. The subject of her professional interest is the research and innovation of equipment material of the Czech Armed Forces and optimization of clothing comfort of soldiers by evaluating the utility properties of their materials. She has been working for a long time to unify the approach to physiological comfort of soldiers and the system of layering of equipment components for specific climatic regions in different areas of the world. He is responsible for the defence research project POV MAD21 and is a member of other projects (DZRO INTAL, POV ZNALEC).

Captain Jana Švecová has been appointed vice-dean for foreign relations and development of the Faculty of Military Leadership since 1 March 2023.
