Projects
The Department has a significant share in solving the faculty research projects. Department members are involved in following prjects:
- Physical fitness of the population as a risk factor for ensuring defensive capacity of the Czech Republic (TELO)
- Conduct of land operations (LANDOPS)
- Military autonomous and robotic systems (VAROPS)
- Rizika predikce výše finálních cen v oblasti nemovité infrastruktury (NEMOVITOST)
- Pozemní PVO 21. století, eliminace nových hrozeb
- Implementation of new technologies and procedures into the logistic support of the Army of the Czech Republic (INTAL)
- Development of physical training in the Ministry of Defence (ROTEPR)
The department concentrates its effort on the topic of applying quantitative methods for the needs of the Army with the focus on:
- quantitative methods application while modelling decision-making processes in economics, logistics and management,
- time series as the tool of statistical prediction of the economics and defence relations development,
- statistical methods application at the managerial decision-making.
The department’s inner structure itself, which consists of the group for the modelling and algorithmization and the group for the decision making under uncertainty and risk, is oriented towards above mentioned goals and serves to this purpose.
